I drink the elixir before leaving the cave. A powerful light comes out of my chest. It burns away what was left of my old self and it transforms the old parts. A kind of “death” occurs and I let go.
I feel my pain, and I let it be. Darkness, emptiness, and peace. In the darkness, a bright light appears. I go to it, and I open my eyes. I’m alive. Again. I understand now. The light was always me. I couldn’t see it because I couldn’t see what I already was. Light and darkness—I am both. REBIRTH… I feel life, I feel ecstasy, and I feel bliss. My body is radiating with energy and life. I feel easy; I feel free. A huge stone was lifted from my chest. I can breathe now; I can feel it. I can truly feel it. And it’s wonderful! Ah, the joy, the happiness, and the peace. It seems like pain was the last thing that I needed to listen to.
This is the end of this journey; it is time to return home now. It is time to start a new chapter of life, a place where I can use what I’ve learned in my journey and maybe use it to help and heal a little bit of this broken world. A path of acceptance, a path of care, a path of love.
